Algea

I am having trouble with an algea,

Its stringy, floating about off my bogwood but it forms a carpet on the bottom of the tank.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it please.

Algae generally is not a good sign, have you got any water stats?

I have the sun hit my tank throughout the day, i've got 2 bulldog plecos.. and 6 amano shrimp, both are great algea eaters, but again - if the sun doesn't hit it for long periods, i'd suggest a water check.

how often do you feed?
do you gravel vac?
whats your water stats?
do you have live plants?
