Anyone in the uk buy algea wafers? Thing is i cant find none.I got a free sample bag inside a tub of catfish pellets ,but i cant find any algea wafers to buy.I have asked at Pets at home an they looked at me like i had two heads :fun: They said there is no such thing .So do they go by anyother name? I even showed them what they looked like in another shop i took one wiv me and was told they dont have any either. :/

I found this King British Plecostomus tablet food -- sinking tablets with algae at Pets At Home. IME, you can't get any help or advice from those salespersons there! Not in my local one (in Stockport, near Manchester) anyway :angry:

I found another brand called Hikari Algae Wafers at another smaller lfs. And they love it! :D

Hi BIGMAC :)

If your lfs carrys Wardley's products, try their spirulina discs. It's what I use. :nod:

>>> spirulina discs

When I can get them, I use these as well, good stuff. The Hikari stuff is also very good quality, but in my opinion, overpriced.

Just wanted to add that I don't think I can get them at my mets at home store either. What are you feeding them too?

My plecs don't touch them, only the clown loaches. My plecs eat king brittish algae tablets as mentioned above. All the fish like these.

:)

Sometimes they're referred to as Algae DISCS. You could always try petsmart.com. Good luck finding them!
by the time they are shipped to the uk i think they would be a bit too expensive :p
