Hello everyone, I have a 10g tank, and I have a couple of fishes, apple snails and 1 chines algea eater,

Well my friend is going to give me a 2.5gallon tank to breed red cherry shrimps, I was wondering if I could put together shrimps with my chines algea eater and snails?? Will there b any problems??

Also on a side question, since I'm planing on keeping a breeding tank, could I move the adults/young adultung adults to my current 10g tank? And incase they do lay eggs I can move them to the 2g tank would that be okay??

Thanks in advance for any info provided

They'd be find with the snail and most smallish community fish, but I think the CAE will eventually pose a problem. They do grow quite large (6+ inches, too big for a 10 gallon, really), and eventually do turn to a more meaty diet.

i have a realllllly awful question, if i get the red cherry shirmps then i want to get rid of the CAE, but i dont want to kill the poor thing!, my wife offered to what i call murder the CAE but thats awfull and idk what to do with the CAE if i get the shrimps, any advice??
