can someone tell me what to do about my alge problem

it grows on the glass and i have to scrape it at lest 1once a week or is this normal

alge is all over the leaves of my plants



what do i do

There are many different factors that contribute to algae growth. There are alao many different varieties of algae. Perhaps if you let us know all your spec's (tank size, pH, Nitrates, Phosphates, Lighting wattage/type, plant types) as well as what colour the algae is. I'm going to gues it's a green algae on the aquarium itself and a brownish algae on the plants? I believe that in my case (thread here) excessive phosphates are to blame for the algae.
