I posted before bout algae n posted a few pics n description of the algae I have in my tanks.
I followed advice bout how to clean em up but no matter what I do they keep coming back.
Is it bad to have some algae in the tank or I should keep getting rid of it in any way I can ?

How much algae you allow is just a matter of your tolerance for it. It's visible in all my tanks, and takes a number of different forms. I keep it off the glass and keep it from smothering my desirable plants, and other than that, it's part of the life of the tank.

Other people are horrified if they see any. There are no rules.

Removing algae is just temporary unless you find out the cause and remedy that. For example, some algae is caused by the tank lights being on too long; or the lights having the wrong K number.

Anybody knows what kind of algae is this purple one ? Is it an 9k algae or bad one ?
