They may if you feed way too much and then leave them rotting in the tank. . . but other than that, I don't think so.

The algae wafers are for herbivorous fish. It's always nice to feed a bit of lettuce or zucchini as a treat, but I'd feed them as a supplement to algae wafers.

What fish are they for noelberg? I think it's like cutechic said, they will if they are left to rot in the tank but that is the same with any food. I feed my fish lettuce and cucumber maybe every 7-10 days or so as they really enjoy it and I think it's good that they have got to work a little to get their food. I add it in early evening and leave it overnight to give my nocturnal fish a chance at it.

Those algae wafers are usually gone within an hour! The swordtails and cories absolutely attack them. So there's no problem with them sitting in the tank.

I get free samples from a lfs when I buy fish, so I put in an algae wafer last week and a carnivore tab this week without thinking if they might affect the tank. Those things are so much more amusing than flake food :)

Yeah!!

You should be feeding other stuff that flakes anyway, fishes will be much happier on a varied diet.
