hi im feeding my sailfin plec 3 wafers every 2 days as they seem to be quite small is this too much? also inbetween days im giving him cucumber too i hope im not over feeding him am i?

As long as he consumes the wafers within 20mins, you are not overfeeding him . Try to feed some foods with a bit more protein in them every now and then though as his diet will demand more protein in it as he grows(like once or twice a week), foods like cooked prawns, mussels, squid and slicess of tropical fish meat etc will all be happily consumed by your plec .

my gf's dad has one and they seem not to eat them

get a redfin rainbow shark, he loves them
yo-yo loaches as well

What time of day are you feeding them to him? Plecs are mainly nocturnal, try feeding him the wafers once the tank lights are turned off, it should also help prevent the other fish from eating them .
