Algae Wafers

When i drop an algae wafer into my tank. All my guppies go for it and finish them like in 5 min barely giving my oto time to eat it. This isnt really a concern for me cause the tank has lots of algae on the gravel. But however what should i do when the algae is out? drop the wafer at night? Or just cucumbers carrots;etc;etc?

Zucchini slices or fresh washed spinach leaves. Freeze the cucumber and spinach which will soften it up OR microwave it for 15 secs or so. Obviously, make sure it is cool first. Use a vegetable clip to hold it in the tank. SH

how big is the algea wafer you are dropping in there? You might consider dropping two wafers i nthe tank 1 by the guppies and 1 at the other end of the tank.. your guy will find it..
