Hello,
I have a sizeable piece of bogwood in the centre of my tank. Now, after being in there for 5 weeks a bloom of green algae has established on the top surfaces of the wood (well, I presume it's algae).
Once the lights (bright T5 tubes) have been on for an hour or two there are numerous tiny bubbles streaming up from the wood.
Am i right in assuming these are Oxygen bubbles from the algae photosynthesising?
If so I see no harm in it, indeed it should help keep the water well oxygenated shouldn't it?
Has anyone experienced this?
