I've had a 55 gallon tank for about 2 years now. Everything is good with it except there is algae all over the glass. The algae is actually stuck on though. I have tried to scrub it and it will come off only if I scrub as hard as I can, which ends up scratching the glass. Is there anything I can do to remove this algae off the glass without just getting a new tank?

have you taken a new razor blade to it? as long as your careful and keep it as flat as possible i don't think you'll sratch it... Good Luck :good:

make sure your tank isnt made out of acrylic though, from what you have said it sounds like yours is, as glass doesnt scratch from that, razor blades will damage acrylic tanks in a bad way.

Do you have loaches or cichlids? If not then I highly recommend nerite snails, I've got two tanks with them in and I barely have to clean the glass.
