Algae Magnets

Hello

I have just started to notices small blotches of algae appearing on the inside of my tank, so i decided i am going to buy an algae magnet my B/N is doing enough hahaha

any suggestions as to which ones are good?

I doubt it makes a difference. they all work the same way.
 
One make is as good as another......

However, I would recommend the type that float. They can loose contact and if you try to regain contact once it has hit the sustrate you can very quickly put scratches on the glass :crazy:
 
I have been using a Hammerhead magnet. It is quite a strong magnet which means better contact between the glass and the cleaning head. You would need to be careful with it on a small tank for fear of breaking the glass but the tank I use it on has 1/2 inch thick, 13 cm, glass.
 
Be careful if you have sand, you can really scratch your glass if a grain gets in between the magnets.
 
I scratched my glass, would never use one again. My Zebra snails keep mine nice and clean :lol:
