algae in rio 125

I HAVE ALGAE BEHIND MY FILTER BOX WHICH IS SILICONED ONTO MY TANK HOW CAN WE GET THIS CLEANED AS IT IS UNSIGHTLY.

Thats a tough one.

I thought that algae would not grow very much in that area because it does not get any light. In your tank it probably is getting some external light ???

I would suggest that you cover the outside (in the corner where the filter is) with some black paper for a week or two. That should kill off any algae.
