Algae Growing On Inside Of Hood

Hi all,

I have some algae growing on the glass portion of the hood of my 30 gallon (the part that goes near the water). I tried just wiping it off with a paper towel but it grew right back. Is there anything I can use to take it off, or just continue with the paper towel method?
