algae eating catfish

well.. i always had ottos in my tank and they help keep the glass clean of algae... and due to a recent accident at home,.. my ottos died so i was wondering if bnose plecs could replace them ? (i rarely come by ottos here)

i only have a 13 gal tank.. it might pose a problem for the plec right ? o ya its heavily planted....

and i also think that the ottos might have given in to the heat ... just couldn't lower the tank temp...

I am no expert by any means but think the BN may do a bit of damage to your plants. They will certainly keep the algae clear though!!!!

I had a hillstream loach in my freshwater tank to control algae and that worked really well, even though it is normally used to coldwater they can be transferred into tropical.

Sometimes go under the name Borneo Sucker.
