Hi all
I am trying to spawn my 3 albino cory catfish in a 10 gallon tank. If they do spawn do you think I could raise the fry in a 2.5 gallon tank? Also if you have any advice on spawning them that would be great.

Hi bball4life :)

I think that tank would be too small to raise a batch of corys in. A 10 gallon tank would be much better. You could put the corys in there to spawn, then clean it out and move them back to your other tank. If you let the eggs remain on the glass, you will not run the risk of moving them and developing fungus.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of having a bigger tank is that cory fry need lots of food and that means a lot of water changes to keep the water clean and fresh for them. The bigger their tank, the easier this is to do. :D

ok thanks. I am still trying to breed them, but in the 10 gallon do you think I could put 3 guppies in there? If I did would the corys still spawn?

Hi bball4life :)

The problem with guppies is not that they would stop the corys from spawning, but that they would probably eat the eggs or the newly hatched fry. :/
