Fish Herder
Strange question, and no doubt someone will be able to put me straight...
I have a 95ukg tank with approx 3 pairs of breeding browns and about 30 - 40 of their young. Also in that tank is one pair (just reached maturity) Albinos. My Brown have ben breeding well for about 2 years now so I know what they look like at all ages. I have other golden and albinos in another tank that have had eggs twice, but non hatched So no albino babies to date, but to be honest they are only just old enough in both tanks to breed so I have my fingers crossed on that
I was cleaning my internal filter the other day, and found a little tiddler in it , ive often found them in there, as one of the males has his nest in the top of the filter..lol So as not to have it become Rainbow lunch I moved into the albino tank into a breeeder net I have in there with tiny baby guppys. I though he would do a good job of hoovering for me Anyhow hes been in there about 10 days now, looks really well and I had my first chance to get a really good look at him today. His body is that of an albino, but he has brown eyes and brown speks on his tail . I was shocked as I thought that they wouldnt crosss breed, and if they did you would get either brown or albino. Can anyone shed any light on this??
He is way too small to get a good shot of him at the mo..
