Here are the original 5... the younger babes are in net breeding traps so I can't get a shot of them, they're bite-sized for these guys . Excuse our mess, I don't rinse my grindal worms before I feed so the tank floor is littered with coconut fiber from my culture )

This is the biggest, who thinks he/she owns the tank. It's so dark I'm inclined to say it'll be female, but I can't sex them yet.

wow they're so adorable! are they all reddish and blueish? and is it just me or are their heads slightly compressed looking

The blue is a trick of the camera flash, they are all red, black, and brown primarily. Their heads are indeed compressed, they are Betta albimarginata, not splendens . They are a wild species from Indonesia. Their parents are my pride and joy
