Airstone...

How long should it take before i start to see air bubbles coming out of my 2 inch long airstone? I'm guessing that it has to absorb water but how long until we see bubbles?

It's hooked up to an air pump, Right? If it is, it should work immediately

haha yeah sorry i had a blonde moment...it was hooked up properly but since i also had my clam hooked up to it the motor wasn't strong enough so only one or the other would work....darn time to buy a bigger one

I have ad that problem so many times. I seriously don't think there's a pump big enough for those 11" stones!

I use a small thingie to control the air flow so that the air can be evenly distributed/or offset so I wouldn't have to buy another pump. I don't know what it's called though...

I think that'll be a valve.

It's no good when there;s simply not enough power to make a large stone bubble. Ah well, I am sure my fish don't mind a 4" one.
