My fishroom really isn't a fishroom...I just took over a corner in the basement and put glass boxes on what was a workbench. First one, then another...and so it goes. In the beginning, I was using several little air pumps but once you get to six or so, it's just nuts. So I bought a Vivosun Air Pump (1110 GPH 8 Outlet 50W 70L/min Commercial Air Pump for Aquarium and Hydroponic Systems (50 W)) on Amazon in May of 2019.
The Vivosun failed (vibration, NOISE, and too hot to touch!) so I upgraded again to an Alita linear diaphragm pump from Your Fish Stuff. Here's the whole story. :)

Lordy! A bonafide diaphragm air-pump! That takes me back a tad.
No oil, no grease, cleaner air. :)

Edit: check out Alita Industries
"Designed to deliver high volume of steady airflow at low-pressure ranges, ALITA Linear Air Pumps are of high efficiency, low energy consumption and perform with low operation noise. With no sliding parts and oil-less components, ALITA air pump requires no lubrication and transfer air without any contamination."

It's only been a few days but I'm very happy with this Alita AL-6A linear diaphragm pump from Your Fish Stuff.
Unlike my previous Vivosun pump, the Alita is not hot to the touch, has little/no vibration and is so quiet that if not for the bubble streams from several sponge filters, I wouldn't know it was running.
Knock on wood!
