Hey all. Need to borrow some knowledge from those that know.
I have a small 40Litre tank in my boys room and it came with a hood mounted filter. I didn't trust it as it looked like a bodged up Tupperware pot and a grim little pump.
I had a spare fluval 3+ that i've put in it and to be honest its a bit over the top! Its how I'd imagine a hurricane looks under water...
I also have an ebay bought, air driven "biochemical" filter, you know they type, connect an air pump and it pulls it all through the sponge.
The tank has a low bioload of 6x 1"guppy and 3 cherry shrimp, so if i ran the two in parallel for a while, so you think i could use the air one, or just stick to the fluval.
I dont really want to go and buy another filter...
