air bubbles?

hi,
i have just noticed that in my tank i have lots of small shiny air bubbles on my sand bed and also on soe of my live rock? what causes this??

I'm going out on a limb here as a newbie myself, but I'd suggest you now watch out for a slime forming over the bubbles, could be Cyanobacteria

oh poo i hope it aint that!! mind u my lfs said that i was getting hair algae becoz of excess phosphates in the food so it could be caused by that!

It could be early cyano..but..it could also be nitrogen gas, a sign that denitrification is going on...and that is not a bad thing. SH
