Air Bubbles On My Mushroom

this one mushroom i have has bubbles on it, not the top part though just around its foot area. does anyone have an idea what this is? here's a picture.

Could be Nitrate bubbles, caused by the breakdown of nitrate around the base

hmm.. ok sounds possible i guess. i bought it like that so i'm hoping it isn't some disease i introduced into the tank

I would be inclined to agree with Seffie I would ensure you have enough flow as bubbles forming can cause issues to certain corals.

As I've said before though I bought this mushroom with the bubbles already on it so I'm guessing the coral got the bubbles either at the fish store or wherever it came from. It won't spread to other coral will it? And how do I get rid of it?
 
If it is nitrate bubbles then something is dying and decompossing hese the nitrate - give it a blast with a turkey baster
