I rearranged my tank recently, check it out below, added more rocks, wood and made the filters/heaters and all stealth.

So the return on my filter looks kinds like its shooting out particles...but I think its just air bubbles?

so basically i have fluval 405 filter...and i seemed to have placed the air stone right below the filter intake on my rearrange. So it seems air bubbles are getting sucked in the filter and then blown out the other end in small little air bubbles...and it just looks like particles of something?? Is this good or bad? Should I move the placement of the air stone? Gives the tank a flowing water look ....but not sure if i like it or not....

And if its not air...then only other thing i can think of is....my fuse blew a few times today...maybe from the filter being turned on and off...its kicking up stuff from inside...??

heres a pic...its coming from the top left.

If it is air, then it is your preference if you want it or not...it could actually help you bacteria colony in your filter as they like a lot of oxygen! :good:

Just look at the stuff coming out of your filter really closely and see, if they are bubbles, they will float to the surface. If not, if they stay floating around in your tank, than it is debris from your filter. (It would be unlikely if it was debris though)

This happened to me when I placed an air stone under the filter inlet, then I moved it because the air made weird sounds when it went through the filter. (very annoying)

its highly unlikely that your filter is spraying out the insides of itself much rather just the air getting forced through the container making the bubbles tiny,
but if you could move you airstone that would be a good thing since if the filter collects alot of air inside it tends to start making a grinding noise thats not that pleasant.

Hi,
I am still fairly new to fishkeeping (tank since november)
but because i have a small tank i have an internal filter and the water outlet is just above the surface, this creats a slight splash and i carries down loads of little bubbles with it.
from the photo the little things look like the same thing, so i wouldnt worry.
