Normally i burn them to hell with a soldering iron but i had some lemon juice and Kalkwasser handy so made up a paste and fed it to them via a syringe with no needle. fun watching them lap it up then explode a few moments later.

 well done

unfortunately i have loads! to get as they have spread a bit out of control

But on the bonus side its hrs of fun watching them explode.

I have some more Rock curing so when thats done i need to scape again and thats when i'll ge tthe solderin iron out and blitz them, but until then its exploding aip fun

I love it - exploding Aips, lets hope they are not spreading their spores around the tank when they explode!

I tried physically injecting them with a needle and syringe but they just closed up too fast. The camel shrimp (asked for a peppermint and they gave me a camel) ate all the aiptasia in my tank... then started on my xenia and kenya tree! I suffered with them quite badly in my old tank. Peppermint made short work of them though.

when i get to upgrade to a new marine setup this yr hopefully then i will use completely new LR in the new system and then dry out this lot and re-cycle it, apart from the pieces that have Mushrooms on etc i will attack with a soldering iron

If you dry it out, you'll kill it and all the life on it. Just pay £10 and watch the peppermints devour the annoying little sods :sly: Muhahahaaaaa

i bought a couple and they ate literally two of the smaller aips on 1 rock and that was it.

I know drying it out will completely kill it, thats what i want. I will then reseed it. Unless i erradicate aips by the time new setup is ready for ordering etc
