Seffie I am not sure if there is or not but I will look when I get home as I said in my other post 2 minutes ago in a different thread. If it is it will be taken care of tonight around 6 east coast time!
Well I can happily tell you that the aiptasia was destroyed with a hot knife. It died with a "pop" haha. I'm glad it is out of the tank hopefully it wont spawn anymore of it for a while or ever.
lol, you think a few is bad??
check my coral tank out!!
i had to put the rocks from my fish only tank in after the break in, and they were covered in aiptasia, mainly cos i didnt care in my fish only tank...but now grrrr!
im going to get a new larger tank so when i do ill be either using aiptasia x to remove them, or just buy new LR, its a lot of effort getting rid of this many of them
but, if anyone wants to buy the rock, then im open to offers
Well Seffie you definitely called it. As I was adding the final 4.5 pounds of LR to my tank today I discovered another Aiptasia growing next to the burial grounds of the first one. It will be destroyed within the hour, this time instead of a knife fresh out of boiling water it will be a blow torch.
i dont think that will do it either.
if possible get a syringe, mis some boiling water with some lemon juice and squirt it directly on the little #28###!
has worked wonoders for me in the past, but i havent bothered with these new ones cos theres too many
I would say dont bother, they seem to be able to move very quickly out of the way - i have tried the boiling water and lemon juice, it appears to work but then they just appear elsewhere just buy yourself a cheap thin pointed soldering iron and stick it in their hole, they cant escape then and they just melt away
