Okay - well, it seems like Harvey's had things going on with him that I haven't noticed all that much because I've been so completely consumed with treating Amos.
But, I think this stuff should be relatively minor to fix, but before I go ahead and start treating him - I wanted to see what everyone else thought of the eyes, mostly - and the pink spot.
Here we go...
It seems like the tops of his eyeballs tip outward and the bottoms sort of sink in. They've never really changed (I've had him almost 4 months now), it just seems like the tippage is more prominent sometimes than other times.
Here are some closeups of them:
BEFORE everyone freaks out about them, they've always been that way - never got worse, never got better. That's why I haven't ever freaked out too much about them, just wanted to ask here.
He has pretty much always had a curled over tail too. I noticed today that one of his "flipper" fins (side fins) has deteriorated a little bit. Here's a closeup of both:
And he (for several weeks now) has had sort of a flesh-colored spot on his side. It doesn't look raw or anything - the scales cover it just like normal, but the spot is still there and it bugs me. Here is the spot:
(it's right up behind his gill in this picture)
and just FYI - the coloration, the red spots and stuff on his head, he's had since day one - it's all just his coloration.
I am definitely going to treat him for these things, and I was thinking of the Maracyn treatment for finrot and possible popeye. But... don't know about the pink spot. Don't know what it is or what to treat it with. So, if someone could help me out that'd be great.
Thanks.
Oh, and one added note - he's VERY active, eats like a pig and makes the biggest bubble nests I've seen to date. I know he does look depressed and droopy in these pics, but he HATES it when I take his photo. He wiggles and backs up and gives me the glare. Normally when I come over, he looks at me and flares like a madman.
