my LFS keeps tons of the same small semi-see through shrimp with black lines in the same tank.

I got 3 to see how they'd to in the community or betta tank....

One looks the same, except when it moves, it has a bunch of thick things on it's underside, and they look like... eggs?

Right now i put them together in a pitcher.
help! pregnate or just a different gender?

What type of shrimp are they? Different shrimp have different needs whne it comes to breeding and raising the offspirng successfully, if they are amano shrimp you will need a brackish/marine habitat to raise the offspring.

I've been told that about Amano as well. However, mine breed a LOT and there's not a smidge of salt in the water at all. I've also been told that about nerite snails, and yet I have baby nerites all over the place.

good! Should i remove the other 2 amano shrimp from the pitcher i'm keeping it in?
And what should i put in the pitcher besides aquarium salt?

edit-

I was toldthat almost no one suceeds, the offspring are near microscopic - and that i should pretty much give up all hope on sucessful offspring....

Check out the link Bloo gives in this link on amano shrimp breeding;

Its not not impossible to breed them if you have your heart set on doing it and go about it the right way :) .

meh - when jay jay says something, he's usually right....

and i think it'd be way too hard for me... debate is pulling my fish schedual apart piece by piece, especially when i keep up with working out every day....
