AHHH!!! MOLLIES!!!

It depends if you want to keep them. The mommy fish will try to eat her babies (most likely) so its best to try to separate them. Or you could add some plants to give them places to hide.

Well..er..would they be okay in a bowl like tank without a heater? Because I only have 1 heater and my parents are being very difficult and wont let me go out and get all the stuff they need like a new little tank for babies and all that other stuff because they say that the fish are okay. I'm so confused x.x :X

Your parents thinking the fish are o.k with the stuff they already have and thinking the tank doesn't need anything else. THAT IS EXACTLY MY PROBLEM WITH MY MOM!!!! If my dad wasn't gone, I probably wouldn't have this problem. But my mom always things are o.k with my fish. She sees it as, "if they die, they die. They're just fish.

Anyway, I show much sympathy for you lilhurleybunny.

I would probably get one of those hermet crab cages for the fry.

The other fish and mollies will end up eating the fry. So you really dont have to worry about having a bunch of fish. Or you can keep them for awhile then give them to your local fishs store.

Good Luck !

Wee I hope I have good luck too!! I talked to people at school and some of my friends are interesting and having some of the fish so I guess itll be all good :D .

Thanks Commander for you sympathy!! I'm glad someone knows what it's like to have not very fish friendly parents. Lol My mom likes the little baby frys but she doesnt think they or my other fish deserve any special treatment -.-.

Right now the frys are in a little round vase..they seem to be doing good.

sounds like you want to keep them then. i really wouldn't keep them in that bowl. they need filtration. since you don't have a filter or heater, check the temp of the water with the thermometer you use in the big tank and do water changes a couple times a week. also, use a turkey baster to suck up hte poo and uneaten food from the bottom of the bowl, otherwise it will break down and the water will become toxic rather quickly in such a samll bowl. if you have plenty of plants and other decor in your tank, depending on what other fish you also have in with the mollies, you could probably put the fry back in. they are excellent little hiders. after about two weeks or so, they are big enough that usually the adults won't bother.
you could also get a small breeder net (usually cost around $3 to $6 US), and put it in the big tank and put the babies in taht that way they are in clean filtered heated water adn out of harms way.
you'll need to feed them at least three times a day, 6 is optimal though. crush up the flakes you feed the adults real fine and sprinkle that in.
remind your mom that not only did you spend MONEY on these fish, and that letting them die or not treating them the best way possible owuld be like flushing that money down the toilet. tell her they are living creatures, and like cats and dogs, they are pets now and depend on humans for care and love and should be treated like beloved household pets, not indispensible objects.
