Its such a simple pleasure keeping your own reef at home. I make my own liverock(agrocrete), I was a little skeptic about how it would work but today I noticed coralline algea halfway covering the home made rock. Kind of wierd I got alot of satisfaction out of that

Did you use a Sandpit to shape the rock

I have made my own and have a few kgs in my tank. its now identical in looks to live rock.
Easy and cheap to make but it must be cured thouroughly before putting in the reef tank. This can take as long as 6 months!
