As my sig says, I've got 7 Rosy Tetras in my big tank. One of them has hidden under a little alcove by some wood and virtually attacks any other Rosy that comes close. He's been doing this for ages. He ignores catfish, gouramis, etc, but gets really het up whenever a Rosy comes near.

Although to be honest, it is just 1 Rosy who keeps swimming over to where he is, getting chased off, them swimming right back again. Can't be doing either of them much good if you ask me. The other Rosy's are swimming happy around minding their own business.

I'm not sure of the sex of the Rosy's because I don't know how to sex them (anyone know?). The other day I found a dead Rosy, no sign of damage or illness, which was a bit of a mystery. I'm starting to suspect this little guy now.

My lfs told me it's probably a male who's staked out his patch and is getting a bit aggressive, does that sound right? I didn't know tetras behaved like that. Is it anything to do with breeding? Anything else?

Water parameters are okay, but the temperature is too high. I didn't realise how oven like my house was when the sun shines for more than 2 days in a row. I'm trying to cool the tank a bit, and have moved a decoration to discourage the confrontation.
