every now and then, it seems like my BN chases after my GT in a short burst, though no real pursuing is going on, it's a little worrying that I've got a monster BN or something. Maybe this guy is a slime coat sucker, or is it just being territorial? Is this anything to worry about? thanks much.

edit: it also tends to happen more during feeding time, in which my cichlids like to almost gang up on the algae wafer once their food disappears in 3 seconds. Is it more likely that the poor guy just wants his dang algae wafer?

Mine acts the same way when I feed him. Never causes any harm, except to my L191 that ended up losing his life to a bad skirmish.

well, he ended up chasing after the featherfin and even a few rainbowfish as well. But I think he's finally cooled off. Jeez, angry pleco's are not to be reckoned with

all bark and no bite.

Besides, all those fish should easily be able to outrun a BN!

Absolutely. If they don't do that they'll stay hungry and I would be a lot more worried about a shy pleco not getting at a wafer intended for him. I don't think they harm any fish when doing that though.
