Aggression Or Breeding?

I have a pair of reasonably mature starlight bristlenose plecs. They have been sharing a tank quite happily for a while and have been generally hard to find. However, after doing a water change yesterday evening they have both become quite active and the male keeps chasing the female. Is he getting aggressive or could this be breeding activity? Just wondering whether to move the female elsewhere.
