I have both a male and female gold gourami, most of the time there swimming around together but when I feed them the male gourami chases the female around the tank. This will last for about 20-30 mins then there back to normal again. Is this normal behavour as the male dosen't chase the platys around the tank whilst feeding.

My male opaline chases both the Female moonlights just after I feed them, then the rest of the night it's peace personified. Mind you all three have reached the 5yr old mark so maybe they are slowing down abit. Maybe some-one else who has gouramis can help. :good:

I couldn't take the bullying anymore so returned the fish back to the shop, the females seems okay so far... Hope that I did the right thing!

Normally you would have 1M to 2F to stop the harresment factor of just one female. It's a shame about the male. Trouble is that if you were to introduce another pair there could be territory issue.
