Today for the first time i saw my fire eel being aggresive, it came as quite a shock!
My severum grabbed a large piece of prawn from the eel and swam away...the eel swam along side the sev for a second. Then when he realised he couldn't catch the sev he turned and bit the side of the sev and swam off! Very bizarre and out of character for my little eel.
Anyone else experienced this behaviour?

I definately don't think that this is a problem at all. Is tis the first time you have eer seen this behaviour since you got it? How long ave you had it?

It is probably just a natural reaction to strive to find food and he couldnt.

my fire eel tries to bite my clown knife when he goes near his spot in the tank.i have even seen it once chasing the clown round the tank its quite funny coz the ck is huge  it dont do no damage its just trying to prove a point.the clown never rises to it luckily otherwise the eel would get his arse kiked

Yea it is the first time, i have had him about 4-5 months. It was quite comical but i was suprised as i had never seen the eel be aggresive! There was plenty of prawn to go round aswell

Lol it can be quite funny bu with most eels there is never anything to worry bout. It is mainly tyre track eels that are seriously aggro.
