Somebody told me that I have to use a picture that's already on photobucket or something, but I do not have an account on a picture site, and I'm not allowed to get one. But that really poses a problem when I need to show someone a picture of a fish that I'm asking about. Is it at all possible to get a picture from my camera on my question without having to first upload it onto a picture site? (i.e. photobucket?)

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

I think if you go to the photo section here on the forum you can upload pictures.

Other than that, you need to upload pictures on a picture site first.

A photobucket is account is free, why can't you get one?

Thanks. I can't get an account because my parents wouldn't allow me...
Okay, well I guess you have to respect your parents!

Yup, just check out that photo section that I gave you a link for!

Most likely, Publisher is a trial version (as is Word, Excel etc.) on most computers. In any case, regardless of how you resize them (you can do it with Paint which should be on all computers), there are still only a couple sections where you can directly attach a photo to your post. That is to keep the server space from being hogged by large photos. Most sections such as Tropical Discussion and New to the Hobby require you use a hosting service like Photobucket or Snapfish. As mentioned, they are free but as also mentioned, you must respect your parent's wishes. If they won't let you because of costs, just make sure they know it's free.

Thanks everyone! My parents don't want me to get one because they don't want me putting pictures online -- even if they're not of myself. They let me have a youtube account, though I never make videos of myself, and they watch what I do on there. If I can get videos, I'll put them on here, but my camera's not very good for that kind of stuff.

I also tried that word/microsoft publisher thing, but it didn't work.

I am planning to try that link after school.

Thanks for all the help so far! :good:

Erm...if you're talking about hosting pictures on here, its no different to hosting them on imageshack or photobucket - its still the same thing.

The easy way round this is to download some illegal pictures and blame your Dad - you'll have a lot more freedom when your Dad's in prison.

Don't worry mate, I'm just making a bad joke - you can always tell I've cracked one by the tumbleweed that rolls past afterwards.

Try using imageshack for hosting pic's - you don't need an account (or you never used to.)
