African Knife Fish...info?

Hello everyone!

i went to my local PetSmart and i had seen this little knife fish, i said to myself, that it didnt look like a BGK so i was like what is that? i saw the tag descrption of it and it said African Knife Fish, they are soo cool and cute lookin'!

i was wondering:

how many?
social?
what size tank?
compatability?

A 30 gallon would be sufficient, these knife fish get 8 inches long and love to eat small fish, but will also eat pellets

They really dont like enjoy each others company, so make sure you only pick up one. As for other fish, I've never had any problems with A. Knives bullying or being bullied by other fish. The few I've kept I've kept with Bichirs, so there wasn't much interaction to begin with. They need a place to hide during the day, being nocturnal, and will take frozen foods with gusto. They also show quite a bit of personality. Scarlet, my brown knife, is immensely curious about anything that goes into the tank, whether it be an algae scraper, my hand, or a fish, and for some strange reason, loves to follow my male Senegal around.

While not striking or overly unique, they're still one of my favorite knifefish (next to the asian knifefish) and you shouldn't be dissapointed.
