ive just researched these on the internet and they look like fun! I dont know much about them can anyone give me good inforamtion/sources?

does anyone have them and do you recommened them? Ive heard they are better than the clawed frogs, but is it true dwarfs gets to 1 1/2 inches long?

I've kept them in the past and have two now. They're not hard to care for, just sometimes difficult to feed with other fish around. They eat frozen foods, freeze-dried food and will eat flake food but this isn't something they should have in a staple diet. Mosquito larvae are what I feed mine though bloodworms and earthworms work as well.

Try to give them meaty foods and make sure your lid is secure. They will escape if they find an opening. Also try to keep them in groups as they're a social animal.

i cant give you much info on them

as teelie said they are easy to keep

and love blood worm

also my fish didnt touch them dont think my fish liked french food

These are two really good sites about African Dwarf Frogs.(I am sorry if the links don't work-my first time).

I love my frogs & I currently have 6. They are very funny in a group. They just step on each other's heads and try to get under each other to hide...I could go on for hours. They also shed their skin when they are growing and sometimes when one of them is having trouble "removing" their froggy skin, another one will grab hold & pull!

They love frozen blood worms and will fight over them (each holding an end in their mouth)

Sometimes they just "zen" out and float around with their arms and legs fully extended, letting the currents move them around...I have even seen them do this until they fall flat on their backs and just lay there for awhile :zz

Obviously, I highly recommend them.

I currently have 4. Three babies and one full size. I can't say enough good things about them they are absolutely great! They are very cute and have wonderful attitudes. I feed mine brine shrimp and they seem to like it. I definitely recommend them to anyone! :)

Im very quickly being persuaded! Which fish would need to be removed from my tank in order to make it habitable to frogs? See my sig for a list of what I have. The plec, gourami and molly should be coming out soon.

I can't help when it comes to what fish should be removed beacuse I've never had any other fish but bettas. With that said, my betta is kewl with my frogs except he'll get very curious and get right up in the frogs face and just stare at him for a long time. But he never hurts him and my frog leaves him alone just the same. I think the only trouble you'd have with other fish with them is feeding them.

Hi Plecoperson :)

I have both kinds of frogs and like them equally well. The thing is that while they are quite similar, their requirements and suitability as tankmates are very different. It is absolutely essential that you are able to tell them apart when you buy them because often they are mislabeled.

The ADF are harmless to fish, with the possible exception of young fry. They are great jumpers and the top of your tank should be closed up so that they cannot escape, or they most likely will.

There is a link in my signature that will take you to a thread with lots of links and other information about them.
