Why don't you want a light? Better to see the frogs....will the tank get any sort of light? Frogs need some light, even light from a window, would be alright. As for shrimp, it depends on what type. A dwarf frog will eat small shrimp; cherries, crystal red's and such but larger shrimp, like an amano will be alright. A frog will still "snap" at it but won't be able to fit it in it's mouth. Shrimp are pretty quick but I've seen how quickly a dwarf frog can snap at something too so just know there is some risk.

For ADF, a trio would be the max I would put in a 7 gallon and only if you have it heated and filtered. Overcrowding is one of the biggest stresses you can put on a frog and ADF are very sensitive to unfiltered tanks.

*Live or Silk plants
*Lots of hiding places
*a COVERED TANK!!!! these are escape artists!

*Diet: HBH frog and tadpole bites (USA) Zoomed frog bites (UK) and frozen bloodworms (thawed prior to feeding!)

I would prefer a tank with a light in but the lid is made of thin, cheap plastic that dosn't contain a light fixture, but to make up for that I put the tank close to a widow when I got it so that provides some light, enough to see the inhabitants of the tank at least

I have it filtered with this and it is heated, I have 3 newts and an axolotl so I've stockpiled loads of frozen food for them (blood worms, tubiflex and daphinia) this should go down well for the frogs :) and I have this brilliant peice of bog wood that gives some great shelter
