Any idea anyone? Have seen extremely small frogs in local LFS but when rang up they said did not stock (so wondering if those perhaps were african clawed frogs, or as usual when I ring up they don't know anything about what they stock and have to find out by turning up ;)).

Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, any help appreciated, would rather not have postal as not sure how these travel? Though if there are online suggestions, great.

Any ideas also on how much they are roughly?

Many thanks

Go to your LFS and look at them they will have webbed front hands if they are ADF. I wouldn't reccomend gaining them through the post unless via courier due to their sensitivity to vibrations.

I did think the postal service would be really brutal on them. I will convince my partner to come with me at the weekend loaded with pictures on the two varieties and see what we end up with.

Another question I couple of stores I have rung and asked for African Dwarf Frogs have asked which species? Is there a particualr latin name I should be looking for? Many thanks

There is only one species of ADF which is Hymenochirus boettgeri, they are very easy to differentiate from african clawed frogs as the ADF have webbed front toes whilst ACF are not webbed, if the colouration is not brown-olive green then it won't be an ADF and ADF only grown to 1.5" whilst ACf grow to 5-6".

My LFS has them under the name 'Congo Frogs', you could try that.
