Hi folks...
I have a bit of a dillemma here.
I have an african dwarf frog, and it's been doing great in the tank for about a half a year. but recently i've noticed it's awfully thin; much more so than usual. :( I've tried the whole turkey baster-bloodworm thing, but that just spooks it and wakes up my clown loaches (the bloodworm smell wakes 'em up). I recently have been cutting down on food portions, and I know that the frog will be able to scavenge food at night if i do that.

But what I want to know is if there are any really easy, quick ways to make sure this guy eats plenty? I don't have another tank to put him in, and bloodworms will wake up the loaches. He'll eat sinking pellets though.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Hmmmm...I'd be a bit concerned if he was doing fine and is now getting thin.Has anything changed that would account for his having trouble?

My frog loves the baster and comes right up to get his food :p

Yeah. As of late, I've been feeding a whole lot less. I was trying to let a couple guppy fry get eaten so they don't overrun my tank. I think that since I've been feeding so much less, the frog hasn't had a chance to get very much food, since he's not nearly so forceful as the fish.

I think I'll just step up the feeding, and put in sinking pellets after dark.

nevermind! I just found a great way to feed him!

I placed most of a frozen square of bloodworms on one side of the tank, and once all the fish were over there, i placed another smass bit right above the frog's head! the pieces floated down and he ate his full! :D :D

 Glad you hit on a solution.Hope he fattens back up for you
