Hello! I am looking for a little advice. I have an ADF in a small tank. I have had him for about 5 months. I did have 4 Tetra Neon's in with him but they died one by one (I don't know why but I am sure it was nothin to do with the ADF as he was permanently hiding, you hardly knew he was there!) Since he has been on his own, the ADF has been much livelier, bouncing around the tank, he is great! I have decided not to get anymore fish as he seems much happier without them but was thinking he may be lonely - should I get another ADF to keep him company? What do you fishy-experts think? ADF's are supposed to be sociable little critters and ideally should be kept in small groups of 2-3. So i would consider getting a few more to keep him company. You may also notice that they lay motionless for hours and look dead, however they are merely being lazy buggers and unless he is obvioulsy dead, there should be no reason for concern.

Also note that they eat their food off the floor as they hunt by smell and have poor eyesight, but only have to be fed every other day.

Actually i use google all the itme, i find its great from rendering pages for my perusal delight. However in this case i researched ADF's a few weeks ago when i was considering adding them to my tank.

Google is great and if people used it before posting, we would all be out of a job
