Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me i have 2 adf's in a community aquarium and i have tried feeding them a few different foods and they dont bother with anything it just sits beside them and they dont touch it. Ive had them over a week now and none of them have ate anything!

Hi i purchased 2 about a month ago now i only have 1 the one that died wouldnt eat went very thin then died. The remaining one is doing great he eats most things even flake food dont know if they are supposed to eat it but mine loves it. I take a small amount of flake or bloodworm and hold it under the water then let it sink near to where my frog is he watces it sink and then gobbles it up.Try this and see if it works took a while to get mine to feed so i tried a little food each day. :good:

Hi rocknurworld2006 :)

What kind of food have you tried? If you haven't fed them live blackworms or tubifex worms, or frozen blood worms, it would be good to give them a try.

The little frogs do best in a small aquarium of their own, so if you continue to have problems, give that a try. A gallon or two is all they need, as long as it has a good cover on it.

ADFs take awhiel to notice food. It will also help if you actually select feed them.

Just be sure to feed them in mediums, and also be sure to feed very close to them, since they hunt by smell rather than sight. :)
I heard some people use turkey basters to shoot food right in front of them to get them to notice it. What I do is wait until my ADF goes into Zen mode and floats at the top of the water level, and then I throw some food towards it's way. That way, I save money on turkey basters
