I've seen pictures of these guys on the internet and decided I didn't like them.

I have come to realize photos do not do any justice to a fish.

I saw these wonderful fish in my LFS for the first time ever and I am in love. They are beautiful.

That is why I have come here. I have done quite a bit of research on the guys and would like to keep one.

I have read they stay at the surface, like to jump so have a tight hood, need good surface space, and like floating plants.
PH 6.5-7.5 soft and slightly acidic.

What kind of bottom dwellers would be good? I was thinkin' six of my favorite corydoras?

I have a new 20 gallon long and was wondering if this is suitable for this fish?

I have it filled with sand now and lots of dense floating plants and some tied down to the bogwood.

It is about done cycling and any extra info you could help me with would be great. Thanks.

Any thing that doesn't fit into there mouths. Some of their mouths can open there mouths up to 3/4's of an inch. Mine love eating large crickets to. I would also suggest you place your topwater plants some place where you can easily see them. Your butterflys will rarley come out from under them, accept to eat.

Good luck they are an awsome fish.
