Aerator & Light

Help, I am quite new to the aquarium thing. I bought an aeretor & light for mt tank today, but am not sure how long I should run it for, or can it be left on 24hrs.

is it a micro bubbler with a light on it?

if so i run mine overnight turn off during the day
