Well after advancing from our pond, we have now invested in a 28litre fish tank - space prohibited anything larger!

So we are looking for advice on what to get - orginally we had our heart set on 2 seahorses but then thought this to be too ambitious and expensive! We'd like colourful and different fish - not tetra's and guppies!

My partners WANTS a few shrimp! and something with a shell on it's back - looks like a crab thing (anyone help naming these?)

I like the look of puffer fish - mainly because I saw a cute on in the shop and I like their eyes lol!

any advice? we know we can't have loads so we're opting for colourful ones.

Many thanks

Leni

Atm you are looknig at freshwater and saltwater fish, which are not compatible.I would do more research, look up what style of tank you want, and then see what fish you would like.28 litres in one small tank tho..

The crab you are describing is likely a hermit crab. Cheesy Feet is right first thing you have to do is decide which kind of set-up you want Fresh, Brackish, or Marine. A 28ltr marine tank would be very difficult to maintain properly but can be done by a knowledgeable person. Also if you want to keep a puffer/puffers you are limited to Dwarf Puffers and maybe Figure Eight Puffers.
Both of them will eat the shrimp and crab over time (maybe not the Dwarfs, to small). Dwarfs are fresh & the Figure Eights are brackish by the way. So let us know which kind of set-up you want there we can go from there.
