Advice On Some Medications.

I am going to PetsMart on Friday and I want to pick up some medications.. just incase, I need to do it before it happens when I have no money.

So yeah. Can people reccommend the goods and the bads out of these selected medications? effectiveness, if they use it, etc etc.

I've only used aquarium salt in my betta tanks. Sorry.

I'm not familiar with all the brands you are naming, BUT , more than one you mention has the same active ingredients as the other.

Mainly to treat any illness you need one or more of the following FOUR types of medication:

Some type of parasite treatment, external or both.
I use Aquarisol (preventative for parasites, ick, body fungus etc = contains copper sulfate) and QuIck Cure (cheapto TREAT ick and parasites, contains malachite green and formalin)

Some type of fungus treatment.
I use Jungle Fungus Eliminator for both Fungus and Bacterial probs/ Its great (treatment, I also use at a sign of illness....contains soduim chloride, nitrofurazone,furazolidone, and potassium dicrhomate)

Some type of antibacterial/antibiotic treatment Preferably that works internal and external.
(Tetracycline, Karacyn etc) I use Jungle Fungus Eliminator for both Fungus and Bacterial probs, above

Aquarium salt (for general treatments, and conjunctive support of treatments)
I use Doc's Wellfish.

Other things people use:
Obviously, a water conditioner to remove chlorine and chloramines, some have electolytes and slime coat added.

StressZyme or Cycle, or other bacterial additives, some people use to support good bacteria during startup, sickness and additions

I also use BettaFix, it is a melaluca oil for fish helps heal fins, etc.

I would just make sure that you have the Three types of illness covered - Bacterial, Fungal and Parasitic.

Ok. Parasitic would be for ich and stuff yes? That's been my main problem lately.
