I've been advised to get Enheim 2206 external filter for a 4ft tank as turtles are so messy. They are expensive and I'm on a very tight budget. Also difficult to set up and clean according to some reviews. Seen unbranded filters on Ebay, complete setup selling for only £44.99 new including delivery.Seller is allpondsolutions1 -has anyone bought filters from them?

I haven't used this model myself, however there was a member who seems to have dissapeared of late<busy lives we lead>

he had one of these and said they were very good, for that price its worth a go, however you can find filters out there, i just brought a second hand eheim 2213 and two internal fluval u4's for a bargain price of 30 pounds, the u4's have been used for five months and eheim is in very good cond except impeller shaft broke, cost 3.00pound for a new one, just waiting for delivery then should be good to go,,,also we brought a fluval 405 second hand for 30pounds for my sisters turtle tank, its alot better now she has this filter running,

have a look on here..... http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/php/county.php

you may find something in your area..hoping you in uk?

They're made by SunSun or something similar and from the reviews I have read on various forums, they are actually very good. Some have reported broken handles on the trays, but it seems to have been a bad batch. Parts are readily available too and they're the same filters as some of the more mainstream names, which again, makes replacement parts even easier.

I'm going to get the 1400lph one with the UV light and see what that's like.
