When i did a water change a couple of days ago i noticed some tiny baby bristlenoses, i hadn't noticed any eggs so had no idea they were there, and don't know how old they are. They seem to be doing o.k but I'm not sure wether i should remove them or leave them in, my spare small tank hasn't been used for ages so it's not cycled so would be a while before i could take them out. I'm a bit worried they might get eaten though, and i'm not sure about feeding either. I've got some liquifry but when i put it in earlier all the other fish ate it. Any advice would be appreciated!

The parents won't eat them, so it depends what else you have in the tank. They're fairly sturdy. They will eat spinach, lettuce, courgette etc, pretty well the whole adult diet right from the start.

Are these from my bristlies? Am I a great grandmother?!!

Hello, yes you are a great grandmother! I'm not sure who the mother is as i already had a female, but the male you gave me is definately the father! they are the cutest little things, there's about 10 of them, it made my day when i discovered them. they seem to be hanging out in 2 places, around a pile of rocks with lots of crevices and under bogwood. In the tank with them are the 3 bristlenoses, a kissing gourami, numerous guppies and guppy fry, 2 bala sharks, a firemouth, and 5 corys. They're just under 2cms long, how old does that make them do you think.?
