Hey, today I was at my uncle's house, oo and aahing over his young oscars in his 55 gallon tank, where he asked me, if'd I'd like to take on a 30 gallon he had. He knows I'm into bettas, but he was curious if I wanted the tank, since he wasn't using it, and it was larger than the one I had.

So with much appreciation, I took it!

It's about 2 feet long, and a foot and a half deep. Honestly, I'm not sure how many gallons it is. But we think around 30-35 gallons. I used to have a 20 gallon, and this is way bigger than the 20.

Anyway, I'm not really into putting bettas in this big tank, since they already have their sectioned off tanks.. but I was maybe considering doing some research as to which fish to put inside.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what to put in the tank, I'd really like your input. Of course I'll spend hours on end looking up as much as I can about all sorts of fish, but I'd like to know what'd be happy in it.. yep.. if not fish, maybe something else?

lol I have no idea.

what kind of fish are you into? (other than bettas!) like, would you most enjoy brightly coloured fish, or ones with lots of character, fast/slow, or what...? also do you know if you'd like only one species, or a community? sorry for all the questions but it might help people give a more suitable answer cos there's many various species that could live in a thirty gallon...incidentally, multiply the three dimensions together and divide by 231, and you'll have the exact volume :)

Perhaps a gecko or something? I've always wanted a lizard but I can't afford one at the moment, I can't wait til I've finished my degree and have a full time job ;) I've heard leopard geckos aren't too demanding pets.
