Hi

I am looking to get a new tropical fish tank to house my growing cat fish and other fish family and i saw on ebay some coffee table fish tanks (rectangular)

they look pretty cool but not sure about what they are like and if they are any good for the fish.

Does anyone have any info/experience on these?

Thanks

:)

I think that maybe it may be better if you could give the type of catfish he is, aswell as what other fish you have, as some types of catfish are small, some grow huge! Its just in my time of being around people who owned fish, some people call Plecs a catfish, and they can grow to a fair few inches, whereas others only grow to a few inches

The last thing you want to do is to get this other tank, then in a few months your fish has outgrown it again, so you have the extra expense of getting another tank! Plus, you dont want a smaller tank to hold a few fish and find it cramped in there and you end up with many fish disputes

Hi
I had a 3.5 ft x 2 ft coffee table fish tank & it did look beautiful but my plecs & feather fin catfish became to big for it after about a year & 1 did actually swim that fast he did manage to jump out but luckily i was there & got him back in the water in time. They all now live in a 5 ft x 2ft x 3ft tank & the way they are going i can see them out growing this one. If you did decide on a coffee table i would just keep small fish

Please please pleaaaaassseee talk like an adult, not a 12-year old kid!

I wouldn't go with a coffee table fish tank. I like the fact that my fish tanks are at eye level when I sit down and seeing fish from the top isnt much fun.
